SAFEGUARDING

We take all matters of safeguarding very seriously at Be Free Young Carers and are here to support anyone wishing to discuss any concerns they have. We have designated Safeguarding Leads in place for our staff, trustees, befrienders and volunteers to come to if in the event a concern needs to be raised or taken further.

Our Designated Safeguarding Leads are always on hand to help you with concerns and filling out safeguarding forms. If in doubt or you want to speak to us, information for our Safeguarding Leads, can be found here – befreeyc.org.uk/safeguarding/

Our Safeguarding Policy can be found here – befreeyc.org.uk/about/our-policies/

Safeguarding children – Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

MASH is a multi-agency team which identifies risks to vulnerable children. If you think a child is at risk of abuse, please report this to one of our BFYC Safeguarding Leads. If an immediate response from Children’s Social Care is necessary, call 0345 050 7666. If you have an urgent concern for a child call 999 or 101.
